Joel Embiid is questionable for the Sixers' road game against the New York Knicks on Friday night due to an illness, according to the team's injury report unveiled on Thursday evening, which does not include Tyrese Maxey, who missed the team's previous two games due to an illness of his own:

It is unclear if Embiid's illness is related to the one that caused Maxey to have his first two absences of the 2025-26 campaign, or if it could prevent Embiid from playing on either leg of the team's back-to-back. They will play host to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night.
