Devin Booker openly admitted he is recruiting Stephen Curry as the Warriors star navigates sneaker free agency after parting ways with Under Armour.
Stephen Curry loss to the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night was tight on the scoreboard, but the bigger story came off the stat sheet. As Curry continues his sneaker free agency, Devin Booker is not hiding his interest in recruiting the Golden State Warriors star to Nike.

Curry and Under Armour split last month, opening the door for the two-time MVP to wear different brands. Since then, Curry has made his shoe choices part of a city-by-city theme, honoring basketball culture while testing the market. Against Phoenix, he wore the Nike Book 1, Booker's signature shoe.
"He's in sneaker free agency right now, so I know he's been doing his rounds and he's been having a theme with every city that he's playing against," Booker said in his post-game interview, per Duane Rankin.
"You know, the day after he was done with Under Armour, he asked for a few pairs, and obviously I sent him all the hot ones, and I was happy to see him in them tonight."

Booker explained that the moment carried personal meaning, pointing to their shared experiences on the biggest stage.
"It's truly hard to put into words," Booker added. "Thinking back to the Olympics and being able to share the floor with him and not just the floor, but getting to know each other off the court, too."
"Building a relationship that will last a lifetime with somebody I idolized my whole life. So for it to come full circle and him to be competing against me in my shoe, if anything, I thought it'd be the other way around. Truly crazy."
Booker closed by highlighting why Curry remains one of the most valuable athletes in the world.
"But whoever gets him, we know that he is a global icon with fanbases all over, and I've seen that this summer. We know how popular Steph is and always has been."
Curry has been outstanding this season, averaging 28.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game across 19 appearances, while shooting an efficient 47.5% from the field and 40.4% from three-point range.
Booker has also delivered strong production, posting 25.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game in 24 contests, while shooting 45.6% from the field and 30.4% from beyond the arc.
