‘What might help’: Chris Sutton Predicts the Outcome of Everton V Arsenal

Pundit Chris Sutton has predicted the outcome of tomorrow’s clash between Everton and Arsenal.

The BBC writer predicts a tight encounter, with the visitors edging it with a 1-0 win. However, any defeat for the Blues will be down to Moyes limited options.

The Toffees have had an extensive injury list in recent weeks, compounded by losing two influential players to AFCON.

It’s a situation that could ‘help Arteta’ insists Sutton.

He said: “I can’t see them (Arsenal) losing this game but they will need to find a way to win it, against an Everton side who have won four of their past six matches.

“What might help Mikel Arteta out is that most of the Merseysiders’ best players might be missing for this one.

“Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jack Grealish are both injury doubts, while Idrissa Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye are at Afcon with Senegal.

“That’s a stinker for Toffees boss David Moyes, because Ndiaye in particular is so influential.”

WITHOUT NDIAYE AND KDH, EVERTON WILL NEED A BIG PERFORMANCE FROM GREALISH

Moyes will indeed be without Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, as the Everton boss confirmed in today’s press conference.

However, Grealish is fit and available for selection, which is a huge boost for the club.

As Sutton states, to be without all four players would’ve left Moyes with very few options.

It’s still less than ideal, especially as we’re playing the league leaders. However, midfielder Merlin Rohl should also be in contention, which is welcome news.

The Gunners required two own goals, including one in the final minute of the game, to beat Wolves last week.

Meanwhile, Everton will be looking to get back to winning ways after last week’s defeat to Chelsea.

Moyes’ side have been in good form of late, with impressive away wins at Manchester United and Bournemouth.

A comfortable 3-0 over Nottingham Forest a fortnight ago made it four wins out of five games.

Get at them Everton.
