Liverpool have had some exceptional attackers grace Anfield over the years, and appear to have found a new star man in Hugo Ekitike.
The Frenchman most recently scored twice in the win over Brighton this past Saturday.
After that game, Ekitike was compared to Ian Rush, who remains Liverpool’s all-time top goalscorer.

The former Eintracht Frankfurt man has been tipped to outperform Alexander Isak at Anfield, and so far, that is proving to be the case.
Long before either of their current strikers were signed, however, Liverpool had some exceptional forward players bagging in goals on Merseyside.
Wilson Isidor picks Sadio Mane or Riyad Mahrez

He selected ex-Chelsea winger Eden Hazard over Reds star Mohamed Salah.
Luis Suarez got the nod over Sergio Aguero, Fernando Torres was selected ahead of Roberto Firmino and then over Wayne Rooney, before Mane was eventually knocked out by Hazard.

Sadio Mane’s best Liverpool partner
Mane scored 126 goals and provided 46 assists during 269 appearances for Liverpool before he was sold to Bayern Munich in 2022.
He, along with the aforementioned Salah and Firmino, played a key role in the Reds’ success during the Jurgen Klopp era.
However, while that attacking trio was deadly, Mane’s favoured Liverpool partnership actually came with another player.
Speaking last month, he said: “I think this was amazing, people usually talk about the front three, me, Bobby and Mo but if you see Robertson, the overlapping and this desire to win every single ball, it’s just amazing.
“Robbo for me was the partnership in all my career because we knew each other. It was just natural since he came, it just became natural. I helped him, he helped me. When he played against a winger who was really tough for him, I said ‘you help me, I’ll help you. I said I will be here for you, don’t worry! We will catch him!’”
