Celtic could do with some positivity right now.
Another thing they could do with is a 40-year-old Luka Modric in their midfield – he has started all 15 league games for AC Milan this season.
And as Wilfried Nancy desperately tries to just get a win out of his Celtic squad, Modric has shouted one of them out as fantastic.
Modric was applauded off by the Celtic Park crowd when visiting with Real Madrid in 2022. People have mixed views on whether this is embarrassing or not.
But the Celtic man shouted out by the Croatian legend wasn’t on the pitch that day.

Celtic man given unlikely shoutout by Real Madrid legend Luka Modric
There aren’t many players on international level that Modric hasn’t played against – he has almost 200 caps for Croatia.
But his finest hour for his country came at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

MORE CELTIC STORIES
Croatia made the final that year, beating Denmark, Russia and England on the way.
And reflecting on the Denmark, shootout, he paid a special compliment to current Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
He told Neuspjeh prvaka: “He (the Croatia manager) showed us how Schmeichel saves penalties.
“We watch. The guy dives, a fantastic goalkeeper, normally, but he goes one way.
“Incredible. None of the penalties were even close.
“I said that morning, if we get a penalty, I’ll strike down the middle.
“And then in the 120th minute, the penalty comes. That’s in my mind.
“I don’t strike down the middle, but I had it in my head. So yeah, the mind is wild.”
The game was a bizarre one, in which both sides scored in the opening four minutes before the score remained 1-1 right through until penalties.
After losing the shootout, Denmark enjoyed a run to the semi-finals at Euro 2020, but were eliminated in the group stages of the next World Cup in Qatar.
Next summer will probably be Schmeichel’s last international tournament with Denmark, and he’ll be hoping to finally win a knockout tie.

Kasper Schmeichel’s Celtic season so far
Schmeichel looked like a perfect signing for Celtic last season, but it ended on a low for the 38-year-old when he scored an own goal in the Scottish Cup final, in which he also lost a penalty shootout.
This put his form under the microscope in his second season, and many have criticised Schmeichel’s performances.
He lost another shootout in the Champions League play-off against Kairat Almaty, and hasn’t covered himself in glory for more than one goal conceded in Europe this season.
And after a disappointing performance in the Premier Sports Cup final, Schmeichel has more to prove than ever in a Celtic shirt.
