Barcelona star Gerard Martín has seen his value on the transfer market increase considerably since the season’s start.
This comes amid confirmation that the Spaniard is now worth a full €8 million more than he was over the summer.
Defender Martín has of course enjoyed a thoroughly impressive individual campaign to date.
Playing an increasingly prominent role in the backline of boss Hansi Flick, the 23-year-old has racked up 21 appearances across all competitions.
Recent weeks have seen Martín prove his worth perhaps more notably than ever before, in slotting into a new role at centre-back.
In fact, with Ronald Araújo struggling and Eric García having moved forward into midfield, Martín now appears to have established himself as first-choice at the heart of defence.
And as alluded to above, such efforts have this week been aptly recognised on the market.
