LeBron James goes viral with postgame joke about Jazz rising star

LeBron James praised Keyonte George strong performance against the Lakers, but turned the All-Star question into a joke after the game.

LeBron James once again found a way to steal the spotlight after the Los Angeles Lakers' win over the Utah Jazz, this time not with a play on the court but with his words after the game.

Following the Lakers' 143-135 victory in Utah, James was asked about the growth of Jazz guard Keyonte George, who put together a big night against Los Angeles. George led Utah with 34 points and played with clear confidence, something that stood out even to the 20-year NBA veteran.

“Confidence,” James said, per Dave McMenamin, when asked what has impressed him most about George's play this season.

The conversation then shifted to whether George could be in the All-Star discussion if he keeps producing at this level. That is when James delivered a response that quickly caught attention.

“I’m the wrong guy to ask that question to, champ,” James said. “I watch YouTube golf these days. So, I'm the wrong guy to ask about that. He played great tonight, and great the last time we played them. He's playing good ball versus us. But, yeah. I'm more of on the Bryan Bros and Grant Horvat and Bryson DeChambeau and the rest of those guys.”

The comment was lighthearted, but it still carried praise. James made it clear that George has been strong in both meetings against the Lakers, while also joking about how his free time has shifted away from tracking league storylines and toward watching golf content online.
