The NBA has released its [Last Two Minute Report](https://official.nba.com/l2m/L2MReport.html?gameId=0022500380) from the Portland Trail Blazers’ [nail-biting 134-133 win](/from-press-row/106725/portland-trail-blazers-sacramento-kings-nba-recap-deni-avdija-westbrook-demar-derozan-refs-call-clingan-grant) over the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night, and it’s a vindicating one for Rip City fans. (Kings faithful may be singing a different tune about the report, but that’s a story for another website).
According to the report, all calls and no-calls in the final two minutes of both regulation and overtime were _correct_. That verdict, of course, includes the controversial and monumental foul call on Kings guard Russell Westbrook that saved Portland’s hopes in the final seconds.
With less than five seconds left in OT, the Blazers trailed by one point and had no timeouts. Portland forward Deni Avdija took the inbounds pass in the backcourt and raced up the floor to put up a desperation runner through traffic at the buzzer. The shot missed, but Westbrook was called for the shooting foul with 1.5 seconds left — much to the astonishment of Westbrook and the Kings. Avdija then stepped up to the line and sunk two free throws to win the game for the Blazers.
Regarding that controversial foul call, the Last Two Minute Report said this:
> Westbrook (SAC) raises his right arm up into Avdija’s (POR) arm and initiates contact that affects his shot attempt. After communicating with the Replay Center, it was determined the foul occurred prior to the expiration of the game clock.
After that dramatic finish, these two teams get to face each other again Saturday in Sacramento. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Pacific.
