Liverpool given multi-billion dollar valuation
Back in October 2010, Liverpool were sold for a fee of £300m, according to the BBC.
That fee now looks minuscule compared to recent valuations of the football club.

In 2024, Forbes rated Liverpool at $5.3bn, making them the 28th-most valuable sports team in the entire world.
Their place on the list has dropped in 2025, but the amount the club is now worth has actually gone up.
The Reds are now estimated to be valued at $5.4bn, which is a £100m increase, putting them joint-48th on this year’s list.

How Liverpool’s valuation compares to Manchester United
There are fewer than a handful of football teams in the top 50, which is largely dominated by American sports.
Real Madrid, $6.75bn, are the highest-ranked side on the list in 20th place.
That is followed by Manchester United, who are the only other Premier League team to crack the top-50 ($6.6bn).
La Liga giants FC Barcelona are the final side to be included, sitting 42nd with a valuation of $5.65bn.
The Dallas Cowboys ($13bn) are the most valuable sports team in the world according to Forbes, followed by the Golden State Warriors ($11bn) and the Los Angeles Rams ($10.5bn).
