The 45-year-old was sacked just four games into the 2022/23 Premier League campaign off the back of a 9-0 thrashing at Liverpool.
After opening the season with a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa, the Cherries were beaten convincingly by Manchester City and Arsenal before their Anfield rout.
It culminated in an angry post-match interview from Parker, who claimed he wasn’t surprised by the thrashing and claimed the club were “ill-equipped” for the top flight, having led them to promotion from the Championship during the previous campaign.
Gary O’Neil subsequently took over and led Bournemouth to a 15th-placed finish, before being replaced by Andoni Iraola a year later.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Parker was asked if he feels he helped lay the foundations for Bournemouth’s current success.

"I went there the second year in the Championship for that team and we managed to get out automatically when probably no one, including the owner and people around the place, would ever have thought that was possible. It would have probably been a play-off season and we managed to get up automatically.
“Four games into a Premier League season against Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool and one win against Aston Villa, the curtain come down.
"But I have massive fond memories. Great people there, brilliant football club and done unbelievable to take it to where it's going now.”
