Arsenal return to Premier League action this weekend as they aim to keep their push for the title on track under Mikel Arteta
Arsenal have an away trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium to play Everton coming up on Saturday night. They won 2-1 at home to Wolves last time out and needed a late Cristhian Mosquera own goal to secure all three points. The Gunners remain top of the Premier League table after 16 fixtures.
However, they have Manchester City and Aston Villa chasing them down. Mikel Arteta's side have fallen short in the title race over the past few years and will be desperate to finally get their hands on the trophy. Here is a look at their predicted line-up to face the Toffees....
Arsenal predicted line-up vs Everton: goalkeeper and defence
GK: David Raya: Arsenal's number one is a goalkeeper who is very comfortable with the ball at his feet and that is key weapon behind the way they play. He will be looking to keep a clean sheet against Everton if possible. Kepa Arrizabalaga provides competition for his position from the bench.
RB: Jurrien Timber: He has proved to be a dependable defender for the Gunners to call upon. The Dutchman is versatile and can play across the back line which has come in handy. Prior to his move, he rose up through the academy at Ajax and he has adapted well to life in England.
CB: William Saliba: The centre-back made a timely return to the starting XI against Wolves. Arteta needs him with Mosquera and Gabriel both out injured right now. He has proved to be a threat from set pieces at the other end of the pitch as well.
CB: Piero Hincapie: He made the switch to London in the last transfer window. The 23-year-old cut ties with Bayer Leverkusen in Germany to pursue a new challenge at the Emirates Stadium. He has been enjoying plenty of game time recently.
LB: Myles Lewis-Skelly: Ben White got the nod against Wolves but it wouldn't be a surprise to see Timber move to right-back and Lewis-Skelly to come in at left-back. The youngster has struggled for a regular starting position in this campaign. Nevertheless, he may well get his chance over the festive period.
Aston Villa predicted line-up vs Everton: midfield and attack
CM: Martin Zubimendi: Arsenal's decision to snap him up from Real Sociedad has worked out well. He emerged as a slight doubt for the match against Everton and will need to be assessed. Assuming everything is fine, he should start in the middle of the park again.
CM: Declan Rice: The ex-West Ham plays a key part in this Gunners set-up. He injects valuable quality into their side and helps make them tick. Rice has also become one of England's main men under Thomas Tuchel and will be excited for the World Cup next year in USA, Canada and Mexico.
RW: Bukayo Saka: He has four league goals to his name so far this term. Saka will be eager to add to his tally against the Toffees to help his team. The winger usually cuts in on his left foot from the right which is something that causes problems to opposition defenders.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli: The attacker featured from the off against Wolves and the same is likely to happen again here. His pace and power is a good outlet for the Gunners, despite the fact he has only found the net once in the Premier League this season. Leandro Trossard is an alternative option to pick from if required.
ST: Mikel Merino: Viktor Gyokeres hasn't quite managed to make the impact that he would have hoped to after his summer move from Sporting Lisbon. Therefore, Arteta may take him out of the firing line against the Toffees. That would provide £32m man Merino with the opportunity to lead the line and he has proved he can score goals.
