West Ham face the daunting task of taking on an in-form Manchester City today at the Ethiad.
The Citizens have recently showcased form that indicates that they are very much back in the picture of the Premier League title race, whereby West Ham are a side desperate to climb out of the relegation zone, with a run of games coming that is likely to determine the clubs fate this season.
West Ham will be without Aaron Wan-Bissaka and El Hadji Malick Diouf who are at the AFCON. The obvious expected replacements are Kyle Walker-Peters and Ollie Scarles. However, there is the option to play Ezra Mayers or Igor Julio at left back too.
Nicklas Fulkrug is again missing from the squad and has probably played his last game for the club with a loan move to Milan, with an optional buy clause part of the agreement, very close to completion .
Youngsters Fin Herrick (behind Hermansen and Areola), Ezra Mayers and Mo Kante are in the squad and Andy Irving returns too. George Earthy, Guilherme and Callum Marshall are expected to miss out.
The manager will also need to make the decision as to whether to recall Callum Wilson to the starting 11 or to continue with the attack that scored two against Aston Villa.
