After impressing at Crystal Palace, Olise made a high-profile move to Bayern Munich, and his impact has been immediate.
Liverpool fans have been following the transfer saga of Michael Olise with growing interest. The 24-year-old winger has been turning heads in Europe this season. After impressing at Crystal Palace, Olise made a high-profile move to Bayern Munich, and his impact has been immediate. With nine goals and 14 assists already this season, he has become one of the Bundesliga’s most productive forwards. His five goal contributions in Bayern’s 6-2 thrashing of Freiburg last month showcased exactly why top clubs across Europe have been tracking him closely.
For Liverpool, Olise represents the kind of long-term solution that could eventually succeed Mohamed Salah at Anfield. His age, proven Premier League experience, and consistent production make him a near-perfect fit. It’s no surprise the Reds are among the clubs showing strong interest. With Liverpool’s focus on planning for the future, Olise’s profile has naturally drawn attention from the Anfield hierarchy.
But while speculation has grown, Bayern Munich’s position on Olise remained unclear—until now.
According to German transfer insider Christian Falk, Liverpool’s hopes of signing Olise are extremely limited. Writing for CF Bayern Insider, Falk stated, “It is true: Michael Olise is on the list of multiple European sides. Beyond Real Madrid we can also add Manchester City. Pep Guardiola, as we know, would be very happy to get this deal done. However, Bayern Munich are a buyer’s club, not a seller’s club. If they don’t want to sell – they won’t sell, and Olise is most certainly one talent they don’t want to sell.”
Falk explained that Bayern value Olise as indispensable under Vincent Kompany, especially this season. “He’s already got a long-term contract at the Allianz Arena, and don’t forget that Bayern Munich are already working hard on giving him more money with an updated contract including one year more. At the moment, this means no chance for Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, and we can add many more to this list.”
Bayern’s stance is clear: Olise is not going anywhere. The German side sees him as a cornerstone of their squad, alongside Harry Kane. For Liverpool, this is a major setback, particularly given the potential Olise has to become a future star at Anfield. Despite the challenge, the Reds are expected to monitor him closely and be ready if circumstances change. Falk’s insight leaves Liverpool fans with a stark reality: Bayern are in no mood to part with one of Europe’s most promising wingers anytime soon.
