Academy prospect Khari Ranson travelled with the Arsenal first-team squad and was selected as the third-choice goalkeeper for the club’s first trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium to face Everton.
Ranson, 18, was the third-choice goalkeeper at home to West Ham earlier this season and also for the Carabao Cup game at home to Bolton Wanderers last campaign.
Tommy Setford is the usual third-choice goalkeeper for the first-team, while Alexei Rojas and Jack Porter have also previously been involved with the senior squad.
Ranson progressed through the ranks at Hale End and signed scholarship terms in 2024 before turning professional last summer.
This season Ranson has featured for Arsenal in the U18 Premier League, the UEFA Youth League and Premier League 2. He has also represented England at U19 level.
