Man City striker Erling Haaland increased his extraordinary tally of goals against West Ham and there was an exchange between the striking Viking and the travelling Hammers fans.
It was another game against West Ham and another two goals for Erling Haaland’s ever-growing Manchester City collection.
Haaland took just five minutes to open the scoring against the relegation-threatened Hammers in a game Man City were always going to win comfortably.
And so it proved as Haaland assisted Tijjani Reijnders to make it 2-0 at half-time before adding a third himself in the second half.
Haaland fills his boots against West Ham yet again
West Ham are a dreadful side both defensively and in attack and Man City made light work of them.
Haaland brought his tally to 11 goals in seven games against the Irons since he scored two on his Man City debut against them at the London Stadium.

Haaland made headlines in West Ham circles recently when he admitted to watching the Hammers on TV.

That probably helped Haaland identify that West Ham’s centre-backs will put things on a plate for you under the slightest pressure.
Max Kilman was once again nothing short of dreadful and Jean-Clair Todibo was not much better after recent improvement.

It was a walk in the park for Haaland and his Man City teammates as they barely broke a sweat.
But West Ham’s loyal and long-suffering travelling support at least did their bit to try and knock Haaland out of his stride.
And Haaland was seen gesturing at West Ham fans who bombarded him with a chant in the Man City win.
With Man City in complete control of the game bar one or two West Ham breaks in the second half, Hammers supporters resorted to keeping themselves entertained.

With Nuno Espirito Santo’s side well and truly in the relegation mud, that saw West Ham fans break out the gallows humour.
Hammers supporters are famed for their Cockney wit.

They can be as self-deprecating as they are savage at times.
It is what makes West Ham fans one of the most passionate fanbases in the country.
West Ham and Man City fans actually share a close bond dating back to 1984.
The Hammers support tried to put Haaland off as best they could with a chant about one of their former favourites.
“You’re just a s— Andy Carroll” West Ham fans sang relentlessly at Haaland, with their tongues firmly in their cheeks.

Haaland is well liked in football as he is one of the rare modern superstars who has managed to stay grounded and relatable to supporters.
Hammers fans continued to belt the chant out at Haaland.
And the Man City man showed why he is so popular with his reaction to West Ham fans.
Haaland was captured on camera holding his hands up smiling and shrugging his shoulders at the chants.

It showed Haaland got the West Ham fans and that they were singing it tongue-in-cheek.
It was a nice moment free from the kind of tribalism and vitriol which often makes for ugly scenes at football.
The bad news is West Ham have to face Haaland again this season during the run-in.
Worse still, that may be the last time the Hammers face Haaland for at least a year if Nuno does not get this team’s act together sooner rather than later.
