On Saturday night, the Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers face off in an intriguing inter-conference NBA showdown.
How to Watch Dallas Mavericks vs. Philadelphia 76ers
The 76ers are 14-11 this season, despite former league MVP Joel Embiid being in and out of the lineup due to injury. That record is good for fifth place in the Eastern Conference and just 4.5 games behind the second-place New York Knicks.
Most recently, Philadelphia fell 120-117 to the Atlanta Hawks, despite a throwback Paul George performance, one that saw the nine-time All-Star go off for 35 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Joel Embiid also performed well in the defeat, scoring 22 points and securing 14 rebounds. Meanwhile, rookie VJ Edgecomb continued his attempted run at Rookie of the Year, scoring 26 points to go with six boards.
The Mavericks, meanwhile, sit 11th in the Western Conference with an 11-17 record, though they have been playing better basketball of late, as they have won six of their last 10 outings. In their most recent outing, the Mavericks took down the Eastern Conference's No. 1 seed, the Detroit Pistons, 116-114 in an overtime thriller. Rookie Cooper Flagg had 23 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, one steal, and three blocks in the win.
