Sources told Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints that several other teams, including the Indiana Pacers and the Atlanta Hawks, have kept in touch with the New Orleans Pelicans to discuss the trade availability of Alvarado.

Previously, it was reported that the New York Knicks would pursue Alvarado should the Pelicans make the guard available for a deal.

Alvarado, 27, is now in his fifth campaign in New Orleans. He is averaging 8.6 points, 3.3 assists, 2.9 boards and 1.0 steals across 27 games this season.

He is set to earn $4.5 million this 2025-26 with a player option left next year.

A fan-favorite guard, Alvarado is well-known for his intensity and memorable backdoor steals for the Pelicans. His defense and tenacity would be huge for either of Indiana and Atlanta, who are commonly looking for backcourt help behind their franchise stars (Tyrese Haliburton and Trae Young).

As New Orleans continues to struggle this season with a 6-22 record, it remains to be seen if they'll make key moves that could involve the Puerto Rican star.
