JJ Redick reveals Luka Doncic's last words before alarming injury exit vs Clippers

After the Lakers' 103-88 loss against the Clippers, JJ Redick addressed Luka Doncic's early exit due to a leg contusion.

Banged up and hobbling already, the Los Angeles Lakers have endured another devastating injury blow this Saturday upon the untimely exit of Luka Doncic.

Doncic left the team's road matchup against the Clippers due to a left leg contusion. He didn't play in the second half, as he finished with just 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists across 20 minutes.

As a result of his absence, the Lakers failed to recover and absorbed a 103-88 defeat against the Los Angeles Clippers.

In his postgame presser, head coach JJ Redick had no update to offer on Luka's injury. But he admitted that he already saw the Lakers superstar hobbling before his early departure.

"I don’t have any other information," Redick stated. "He came to me at halftime. I saw him hobbling toward the end of the first half. He said he couldn’t go. That’s all I have."

Entering their weekend matchup against the Clippers, the Lakers are already dealing with the absences of Austin Reaves (left calf), Deandre Ayton (left elbow) and Rui Hachimura (right groin). Doncic's latest injury only worsens the team's competitive standing moving forward.

Lakers fans can only hope that Doncic won't miss a significant time, as the Slovenian star has been on a tear this year with a league-leading 35.2 points along with 9.1 boards and 8.8 assists.
