Honest Ahanor left Genoa to join Atalanta only in the summer, and despite being just 17, he has already made 19 senior appearances. As for Atalanta, the versatile defender has played 13 times thus far, including six starts in Serie A this season.
Capable of playing as a left-back, wing-back and central midfielder, the Nigerian starlet has played all his games for Atalanta in central defence. Scouts from the Premier League and European clubs are flocking to watch Ahanor in action for Atalanta. The report adds Chelsea and Manchester City are both paying a close attention to the teenage sensation, while the likes of Manchester United, Newcastle United, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig also remain interested.
This demonstrates the global appeal of the Atalanta prospect. However, Ahanor would theoretically have to wait until June 2028 to make the move to England due to Brexit rules.
