Brown expressed confidence in his teammate’s recuperative powers in a stream this week with rapper and streamer DDG, saying he’s recovering fast and might break the record for the fastest recovery from an Achilles tear in history.
“JT just always recovers,” Brown said. “He always recovers. … He’ll probably break the record for fastest recovery in Achilles history or some sh*t. I wouldn’t put it past him.”
Tatum was having one of the best seasons of his career before suffering a gruesome injury in the playoffs.
He averaged 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game while shooting 45.2% from the field and 34.3% from three.

Though, even without Tatum in the lineup, the Celtics have stayed near the top of the East. They currently sit fourth in the Eastern Conference with a 17–11 record, showing they can compete while waiting for their star to return.
