West Ham 0-3 Manchester City – lacklustre, boring, no desire

**West Ham United were dealt yet another blow as they were defeated 3-0 by Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium**.

The game started atrociously for the Hammers, just five minutes in Erling Braut Haaland gave the sky blues the lead after some poor defending.

The game started as it meant to go on, City were absolutely dominating, and the Hammers’ style of play meant they were just letting it happen.

Cherki was absolutely embarrassing the West Ham players out there and with the skill of Reijnders, Foden and Silva in addition of the Frenchman, there just wasn’t anything we could do to stop it.

The former Lyon man was a crucial part of the second goal by Reijnders which all but confirmed the win for city, even though it was still the first half.

We started to threaten a bit more on the second half, Fernandes had a chance. Birthday not Bowen had a couple of chances he could’ve done better with, but if any of those went in I highly doubt it would’ve changed the game.

Just before the hour mark it was well and truly game over as a swift attack paired with some awful defending from the Hammers gave Haaland an easy finish inside the 6 yard box.

Again, I wouldn’t say we were absolutely woeful despite the 3-0 defeat. It was just there was no real substance to the performance again, it was like we had absolutely zero intention of trying to win that game and it’s tough to see.

If this continues over the next few matches we could put the nail in the coffin to our relegation. Our next four league games are more than winnable, against teams lower down in the table. If we don’t get at the very minimum 6 points from those four games, I think we will be kissing goodbye to our PL status.
