Chelsea came from behind to draw 2-2 against Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.
Nick Woltemade’s first-half brace had put the hosts in to a commanding lead at the break at St. James’ Park, but Reece James’ free-kick halved the deficit shortly after the restart.
Joao Pedro then slotted home to draw Enzo Maresca’s side level, and the Blues now sit fourth in the top flight standings.
Now, away from the action, it has emerged that Chelsea are one of a number of Premier League sides interested in a Serie A attacker.
As reported by CaughtOffside, Chelsea are keeping tabs on Atalanta winger Marco Palestra, who is currently on loan at Cagliari.
The report claims that the Blues’ Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United are also interested in the 20-year-old, who has impressed so far this term.
Palestra is a product of Atalanta’s youth system and has played 16 times for the club at senior level, although he is yet to score or provide an assist for his parent club.

Over the summer the young winger was sent on loan to Cagliari, and he has so far provided three assists in 15 matches across all competitions.
It is claimed that several Italian clubs – including Juventus, Inter Milan, Napoli and AC Milan – are all keeping tabs on the winger, who is also on the radar of Spanish sides Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, as well as German champions Bayern Munich.
The report suggests that the player is now valued at around £30-35 million, considerably more than the offer in the region of £17.5 million from Liverpool that was rejected last summer.
According to the report, several of Europe’s top clubs have been monitoring the Italy Under-21 international’s progress on a weekly basis.
