Ian Byrne has issued a three-word response on X after footage emerged from the Everton loss against Arsenal.
Viktor Gyokeres scored the game’s only goal as Everton lost 1-0 to Arsenal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Ian Byrne reacts to Arsenal fans’ chants against Everton
Arsenal fans were singing “Feed the Scousers” in their game against the Toffees to mock the home fans.
This is a derogatory chant, referencing the city’s history with poverty and soup kitchens.
However, since then, the locals have reclaimed it and do not mind it coming from rival fans.
In order to offer the visiting fans a fitting response, Everton responded with “Fans Supporting Foodbanks” on the giant screen.

What did David Moyes say after the game?
This was not the result Moyes would have wanted, but he knows that his side were the underdogs against the league leaders.
He would have been gutted that the penalty was not given for William Saliba’s foul on Thierno Barry.
Should Everton have been awarded a penalty when Barry was kicked by Saliba?

However, apart from that, he knows that there were plenty of positives to take and that they are on course to finish in the top half if they keep playing like that.
Moyes believes that his side deserved a penalty for the challenge on Barry.
He said: “I think we could have done. I think on another day somebody might have given a penalty. I think Saliba kicks the back of Thierno’s Achilles, it looks like, and it’s not as if he’s sort of pulled his foot away, he’s kicked through.
“I just think it looked like a bit of an action where there wasn’t much happening, and Thierno’s got in front of him and he’s kicked. I don’t know if the referee was expecting it or VAR, but it didn’t go our way. We’ve not been getting many decisions here, that’s for sure.”
The Scotsman also singled out Tim Iroegbunam, who came into the eleven to replace Idrissa Gueye.
Gueye will be unavailable for around a month as he is out on international duty at the AFCON.
Speaking about Iroegbunam, Moyes said: “I thought Tim played well. I think Tim has played well at different times for us. We want him to look to play forward a bit more and be a bit more positive, but his retention of the ball and his work was very good and he’s done a good job against Declan [Rice] tonight.”
