Chelsea look to have potentially missed out on one of the signings of the summer after their interest in Morgan Rogers didn’t materialise.
Chelsea were strongly linked with Rogers before the end of the summer transfer window, with him at that point not yet committing his future to Aston Villa.
In fact, reports stated Chelsea were doing final checks on Rogers before signing Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.

Chelsea given ‘zero per cent’ chance of signing Morgan Rogers in January
The Blues will no doubt be keeping tabs on the player, however their chances of a January addition are low.
Fabrizio Romano has stated that there is a ‘zero per cent’ chance that Chelsea sign the Aston Villa man in January, although the situation could crop up again in the future.
He said on YouTube: “Morgan Rogers’ name is everywhere, but they extended his contract more than a month ago, and this was a smart move.
“Last summer, the player was on the list of Chelsea, but never arrived to the point where they made a proposal.
“Morgan Rogers has always been on the list of these clubs. Let’s see what’s going to happen next, because for sure the situation of Morgan Rogers is going to be one to watch in the future for many clubs, but at the moment what I can guarantee, is that in January, 0%, forget about that, there is no price for Rogers in January.”

Gittens is yet to score for Chelsea, and while Garnacho has impressed his impact this season has paled in comparison to Rogers throughout this season.
Questions are already being asked of the chiefs at Stamford Bridge amidst their feud with Enzo Maresca at the helm, but their transfer activity has also been the topic of discussion amongst Chelsea fans.
Their decision to not push hard for Rogers, a Premier League proven player, is another call that will come under the microscope at Stamford Bridge, as unrest continues in West London.
