Former Liverpool player Luis Diaz is going to be a dad for the third time. After scoring in the Bundesliga against Heidenheim for Bayern Munich, the forward placed a ball under his shirt and sucked his thumb as he celebrated.
Gera Ponce, the partner of Diaz, shared the adorable photo to her own social media account as she captioned it: "Thank you, my God, for all your blessings, for a year full of love and new beginnings, and for our son, the greatest gift that is on his way to complete our home."
The couple welcomed their second child in January 2024. Pictures were shared to Instagram as the birth of daughter Charlotte was celebrated by the proud mum and dad. Charlotte's arrival landed on the same date Diaz and Gera celebrated their seventh anniversary.
Announcing the birth of Charlotte, Gera said: "CHARLOTTE, [heart emoji] is such a long-awaited and desired little girl, who came into our lives with incredible magic.
"On our 7th anniversary, on April 25, we decided it was time to watch our family grow. Just a month later, also a 25, this time May, we got the news we didn't expect to hear so soon, our baby was already with us.
"And today, January 25, on a day we already considered special, our little girl arrived. God has blessed us with our daughter. Charlotte has arrived to fill us with laughter, love and unforgettable moments. Now the 25th of every month belongs to her. Welcome my magical princess."
The couple welcomed their first daughter into the world in 2021. Roma is the oldest of Diaz's children and the parents regularly share insights into their family lives.

To mark the special occasion, Diaz shared a photo of his celebration. He received thousands of messages to congratulate him and his wife. One comment said: "Congratulations champion" and another fan added: "Congratulations to your Lucho family!"
Further replies included: "Congratulations on your son Lucho" and "Congratulations Luchito and Gera!" The former Red made 148 appearances for the club and scored 41 goals.
During his three-and-a-half year spell at Liverpool, he won some of the biggest trophies in football. He was signed by Jurgen Klopp at the start of 2022. The last moments of his career on Merseyside were incredible scenes as he helped the club clinch another Premier League trophy.
Ahead of 2025-26, Diaz completed a permanent transfer to the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich. Diaz has experienced success in Germany and is among the most in-form players in Europe. He was named Bayern player of the month in November.
The 28-year-old received a whopping 48.8% of the votes cast, putting him well ahead of his teammates Lennart Karl (21.7%) and Michael Olise (6.3%). It's Diaz's first FC Bayern Player of the Month win, and his goal against Union was also named the FC Bayern Goal of the Month for November.
