Knicks legend Walt Frazier, calling the game courtside at Madison Square Garden, jokingly suggested Bam Adebayo's girlfriend A'ja Wilson could help him improve his three-point shot after an early airball.
The New York Knicks defeated the Miami Heat 132-125 at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. Early in the first quarter, though, Heat big man Bam Adebayo airballed a three-pointer from the top of the arc.
Watching from the broadcast booth, Knicks legend and seven-time All-Star Walt Frazier didn't hold back.
Known for his sharp commentary on the MSG Network, the two-time NBA champion (1970, 1973) delivered a biting remark on live television.
"Maybe his girlfriend can help him with his shooting," Frazier quipped, referring to Adebayo's relationship with four-time WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces. The pair has been together since 2024.
Wilson is no stranger to long-range shooting herself, boasting a 36.5 percent career three-point mark and an impressive 42.4 percent clip last season.
Adebayo, by comparison, is not so effective, shooting 31.0 percent for his career and 33.0 percent this season.
The 28-year-old missed all three of his three-point shots (0/3 3PT) vs. the Knicks.
