Declan Rice is one of the best technicians in the Premier League, and Nottingham Forest are now looking to bolster their quota of players with technical ability.
With Fulham to come on the fixture list tonight, the Reds are edging closer to bringing the curtain down on 2025, and the club are having to fight tooth and nail to preserve their Premier League status.
Sean Dyche will undoubtedly want to stamp his own authority on the playing squad at the City Ground as he attempts to lift Forest even higher in the Premier League table.
With January just around the corner, Forest are now starting to compile a list of targets, and it would appear that Dyche is keen to add players he can trust.

Nottingham Forest want Dwight McNeil
McNeil has found regular first-team football hard to come by this year, although he did come on against Forest earlier this month as he stepped up his recovery from an injury.
McNeil has had a bit of a knack for scoring against Forest since the team won promotion back to the Premier League, and Dyche is keen to add him to the ranks, according to The Telegraph.
McNeil has a superb left foot and is renowned for taking quality set-pieces, with Chris Sutton comparing his ability to deliver them to that which Declan Rice possesses.
In total, the 26-year-old has scored 15 goals and registered 18 assists from 113 appearances for the Toffees, although it’s not certain what the future holds for him.

David Moyes is unlikely to sanction anything as soon as the transfer window opens. Iliman Ndiaye is currently with Senegal at the African Cup of Nations, whilst Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is out with a hamstring problem.
McNeil could be ideal loan addition for Forest
It would be a tough ask to bring McNeil to the club permanently, given that he probably doesn’t play regularly for the team on the wing.
However, his versatility could be useful, and if Forest are chasing games in the second half of the campaign, he could be a useful introduction from the bench.

McNeil’s left foot is superb and with Dyche looking to enjoy more success from set-piece situations, the former Burnley man could prove to be a decent addition to the squad.
It does feel as though it will be a case of one in and one out for Forest in January, with the Reds likely to focus on ensuring PSR is maintained during the next window.
