AC Milan are not finished after securing the signing of a striker, and they are pursuing a centre-back in a loan deal.
After having practically closed the deal for West Ham’s Niclas Fullkrug, Milan will focus on strengthening their defensive line. Matteo Moretto spoke in a video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel (via MilanNews) and he shed some light on the management’s movements.
“In every transfer window, Disasi is offered in Italy, and he’s always offered to AC Milan. It’s a special occasion, like December 25th with Christmas,” he said.
“Disasi isn’t just offered to Milan, but to other clubs as well, obviously. Even in this case, even in this upcoming transfer window, even in recent days, Disasi has been offered to the Rossoneri, who are actually looking for a defender. The priority was to cover the attack and then focus on the defender.
“The goal is to sign a defender on loan, trying to be economical with the financial outlay. We’ll see. Disasi, 27 years old, has played 71 minutes so far with Chelsea, and has been offered; we’ll see how things develop.”

Milan’s defensive worries
At the moment, Milan have four centre-backs for three positions: Matteo Gabbia, Strahinja Pavlovic, Fikayo Tomori and Koni De Winter. David Odogu also arrived in the summer but has played just a handful of minutes, and has actually played more with Milan Futuro.
De Winter has not hit the ground running after his €20m arrival from Genoa to replace Malick Thiaw. As a result, rumours have been rife that the directors are looking for someone with a bit more experience, though Thiago Silva has vanished as an option.
