The Gunners are among a host of European giants interested in a deal to sign Marco Palestra. According to Caught Offside, the Gunners join Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Bayern Munich in the race to sign him, along with Italian quartet Inter, Juventus, Milan, and Napoli.
An Atalanta starlet, the 20-year-old has been a key player on loan with Serie A side Cagliari this term having started 14 of 16 games in the league this term.
An exciting right-back, Palestra is valued at up to £35million and looks to have the potential to become one of Europe's elite stars.

With intense competition for his signature, Arsenal face a real challenge to get this deal over the line. That said, if they can pull it off then it will be a real statement of intent.
Europe's biggest clubs are locked in the race to sign the Atalanta starlet and if the Gunners are to sign him, they'll need to convince the 20-year-old that a move to North London is where he can fulfill his career ambitions.
Based on how they're performing this term under Arteta, it shouldn't be too hard to convince him.
Arsenal look like genuine contenders to win both the Premier League and Champions League. In addition, Arteta's side are renowned for being among the best defensively and that will be music to the ears of Palestra, described as 'incredible', as he looks to establish himself at the highest level.
