Chelsea fans have been left cursing their luck after watching the start to the season Morgan Rogers has had at Aston Villa.
Rogers moved to seven Premier League goals for the season with a brilliant brace in their 2-1 win over Manchester United.
The Blues will need Reece James to be at his best to stop his England teammate when he comes to Stamford Bridge in the first Chelsea game after Christmas.

Reports over the summer suggested Rogers was very high on Chelsea’s list of potential signings, however they decided to go in another direction instead.

The Blues instead brought in Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens to play on the wings, after already securing the services of Estevao Willian.
Whether this is down to the money that would have been required or deciding another transfer target was a better addition, Chelsea fans are not pleased with the decision makers at the club.
One user said: “Morgan Rogers has scored 2 goals from the left half space this game, which is something Chelsea is desperately crying out for Should’ve paid the money for him man, I don’t know why we didn’t.”
Another added: “Chelsea should sign Rogers, this is the kind of player you sign not Gittens not Garnacho.”
A third stated: “Morgan Rogers is another example of Chelsea’s Big Talk/Poor Result Recruitment policy. He would have transformed this Chelsea attack.”
Finally, one user claimed: “Morgan Rogers… look at where he picked the ball from and turned it into a simple goal. Quality. If Chelsea are going to be able to compete for the Premier League, they need such a game changer in addition to Cole Palmer.”

Chelsea sporting directors taking plenty of flack right now
Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart have not proven to be popular figures amongst Chelsea fans since they were hired as the sporting directors at the club.
Maresca is proving to be getting tired of things at the top too. His recent outburst at a lack of support at the club was believed to be aimed at the sporting directors, amongst other higher ups.

The overall consensus amongst supporters is the Blues underperformed during the transfer market, and a number of their signings have not had the desired impact so far.
When looking at the stellar season Rogers has enjoyed so far, it seems a misjudgement on the club’s part to not have made him their biggest signing of the window.
