Jaylen Brown upgraded on Celtics injury report for Pacers game

Jaylen Brown will only miss one game due to a recent illness. He was upgraded on the Celtics injury report from questionable to available for the 7:30 p.m. Monday game against the Pacers. Jordan Walsh (illness) remains questionable and Jayson Tatum continues to be out with his Achilles rehab.

Brown sat Saturday’s win over the Raptors because of his illness. It was just the second time he missed a game this season. Otherwise, Brown has been healthy and been on the court as part of a career year.

Brown is averaging a career-high 29.3 points, along with 6.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. Brown has scored at least 30 points in the nine of his past 10 games.

Walsh started in Toronto but didn’t play in the second half because of his illness. If he’s unable to play, expect Sam Hauser, Hugo Gonzalez and Josh Minott to be among the wings who will have their roles increased. Walsh, 21, has enjoyed a breakout season as a Celtics starter.

The Celtics are on a two-game winning streak as their 17-11 record is good for third in the East. They face the 14th-place Pacers, who are 6-22 and have been ravaged by injuries across their roster.
