Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg participated in the team’s shootaround in New Orleans ahead of the game against the Pelicans, although his status remains uncertain due to a back contusion.
A couple of key Dallas Mavericks players face uncertain status ahead of Monday’s game against the Pelicans in New Orleans.
Dallas Mavericks / Schedule
Mavericks star rookie Cooper Flagg, sharpshooter Klay Thompson, and guard Max Christie are all listed as questionable for the upcoming game.
Although two of these players, Flagg and Thompson, participated in the team’s shootaround on Monday, giving hope that they will be ready to suit up for the game.
On the other hand, Max Christie (illness) will most likely miss the matchup, as he did not participate in the shootaround.
Flagg has been listed questionable due to back contusion. He was seen using a heating pad on his back in the last game but still led the team with 24 points vs. 76ers.
With this being the first night of a back-to-back, Dallas may choose to rest him in one of the two games—possibly saving him for Christmas, though for now there's no certainty on his status.
The Mavericks are currently sitting 11th in the Western Conference with an 11–18 record.
