Joe Gomez is the longest-serving active Liverpool player but he is reportedly considering leaving the Reds for AC Milan.
After signing for Liverpool from Charlton Athletic in June 2015, Gomez is the longest-serving Red with over ten years in service.
Despite his injuries, Gomez has been a reliable performer whenever fit enough to play and has an impressive knack for finding form immediately upon returning to fitness.
It’s a shame he hasn’t been able to remain fit, but if he decides to leave, Liverpool fans will wish him nothing but the best.

According to a report from Milan News, Gomez is “seriously considering” a move to AC Milan. After being strongly linked in the summer, this transfer is once again being talked about.
The report states that Arne Slot is blocking the deal amid Liverpool’s lack of centre-back options. The club sold Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen in the summer but failed to sign Marc Guehi on Deadline Day, leaving the Merseysiders in a bad spot.
Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri reportedly wants “a physical centre-forward but also a versatile defender.”
Gomez perfectly fits the bill, but Liverpool are unwilling to sanction this deal.

Unfortunately for the English defender, he falls into the same category as Daniel Sturridge. He’s extremely talented and potentially better than any other centre-back England has produced in the last 10 years, but simply unable to remain fit long enough to capitalise on his talent.
In his time at Anfield, Gomez has missed a total of 238 games through injury.
Despite his injury-torn career, Gomez has two Premier League titles, and one FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Champions League winners’ medal.
He also won the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and the FA Community Shield.
It’s a pity he hasn’t been able to cement his place in the starting lineup over the years due to so many injuries but should he leave the club soon, he will do so with the gratitude of supporters.
