On Monday morning, Sky Sports News reported that their information was that Alexander Isak had broken his leg.
The former Newcastle United striker had picked up and injury when scoring a goal against Spurs on Saturday and was forced to come off the pitch.
Now Liverpool have released an official statement confirming the extent of the injury to Alexander Isak.
Monday night seeing the club make public that the striker has undergone surgery earlier today.
Liverpool stating that Alexander Isak suffered an ‘ankle injury that included a fibula fracture.’
Liverpool say ‘no timeframe yet placed on his return.’
Fair to say that things haven’t gone too well for Alexander Isak in recent times…
These past seven and a half months he has scored three goals, all of them for Liverpool.
Whilst in just over six months before that (from 27 October 2024 to 4 May 2025 inclusive), Alexander Isak scored 26 goals for Newcastle United.
