The Lakers announced their huge injury update on Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and others against the Phoenix Suns.

Approaching their Tuesday bout against the Phoenix Suns, the Los Angeles Lakers have announced major injury updates.

Luka Doncic will be unavailable for the Lakers due to a lower left leg contusion. Both Rui Hachimura (right groin soreness) and Gabe Vincent (lumbar back strain) join him on the inactive list.

Meanwhile, Austin Reaves was marked questionable from his left calf strain. And since his name was removed, it is expected that Deandre Ayton will finally return from elbow injury recovery.

A hobbling Doncic didn't play in the second half of the Lakers' 103-88 loss on Saturday against the Clippers.

Hachimura felt discomfort in his groin since last Thursday against the Utah Jazz, while Vincent will just approach the one-week back injury recovery timeline that was set for him.

Promisingly, it appears that Reaves is on his way to being back for LA after participating in the team's Monday practice. He has missed the last three Laker games from his calf injury.

As for Ayton, he is set to return after missing the last two games while nursing his elbow injury.

The Lakers (19-8) will aim to bounce back and be on the win column again as they visit Phoenix to face the Suns (15-13).
