Alexander Isak has already missed one opportunity to be involved in Newcastle United vs Liverpool this season.
The 26-year-old sat out the early season contest between Newcastle United and Liverpool, with the Reds winning a fiery affair at St James’ Park back in August.
At the time, Alexander Isak was still a Newcastle United player. However, he was on strike as he attempted to force through a move to Liverpool.

He got his wish on transfer deadline day, as the Isak saga came to an end. Since then, he has not played like a £125million player.
Isak has netted three goals for his new club, but his latest strike has also resulted in him undergoing surgery.
Alexander Isak ruled out of Liverpool vs Newcastle United in January
As Isak scored Liverpool’s opener against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, he was on the end of a strong challenge from Micky van de Ven.
He was clearly in a lot of pain and was subsequently taken off, and now Liverpool have confirmed the full extent of his injury.

In a statement on their official website, Liverpool said that Isak has undergone ankle surgery after suffering a fractured fibula.
The injury will rule him out for several months, which means he will be absent for Liverpool vs Newcastle United on 31st January.
Isak will not be able to feature against his former club at Anfield, which means the first time he is reunited with his former Newcastle United teammates will be next season.

How Alexander Isak has performed in comparison to Newcastle United’s strikers
In order to facilitate Isak’s move to Liverpool, Newcastle United bought two strikers.
Nick Woltemade became Newcastle’s most expensive signing at £69million, while Yoane Wissa followed him through the door for a fee of £55million.
The former has been the biggest hit, netting nine goals for the Magpies since his arrival from Stuttgart. That is impressive considering Newcastle are still adapting to Woltemade’s style, with the giant German very different to Isak.
As for Wissa, his Toon career has been derailed by injury. But he is fit now, boasting one goal for the Magpies. He is two behind Isak this season, who has scored three times for Liverpool.
