Liverpool star Florian Wirtz would be willing to reunite with his former Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso at Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
The Germany international only joined the Anfield side in a £116m deal, but is said to be willing to take his talents to the Spanish capital amid a difficult start to life in the Premier League.
Wirtz has yet to score in 22 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool, registering six assists, including one in the 2-1 win over Tottenham on Saturday.
The 22-year-old, who is under contract until June 2030, is one of the best-paid players at the club, reportedly earning £200,000 per week.

According to Spanish publication Fichajes, Wirtz is ‘begging’ for a reunion with Alonso at Real following his underwhelming start as a Liverpool player.
The attacking midfielder would reportedly be willing to sign for Los Blancos if Alonso personally requests his arrival, though that scenario appears highly unlikely in the near future, as Wirtz only switched clubs six months ago.
Liverpool welcomed Wirtz as part of their summer of unprecedented spending, during which the Reds splashed out £455m on new arrivals.
For several weeks, Wirtz was the most expensive Anfield arrival ever, before Alexander Isak surpassed his move with a £125m transfer, signing in a British-record deal from Newcastle United.
Isak will be unavailable for several months after undergoing surgery on a serious injury he sustained during the 2-1 win over Tottenham on Saturday.

December has brought some relief for Wirtz after a difficult first few months in his new surroundings.
The attacking midfielder has registered three assists in five appearances for Liverpool this month and has been one of their standout players amid a turbulent period for the club.
With Mohamed Salah away with Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations and Isak sidelined, Liverpool now need Wirtz’s brilliance more than ever, with their attacking options limited heading into the New Year.
The Reds next host winless Wolves in their final game of the year on Saturday.

Following Isak’s injury, Liverpool are starting to explore market opportunities ahead of the January transfer window.
According to GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano, the Reds have made calls for several players in December and maintain their interest in Bournemouth ace Antoine Semenyo, who has a £65m release clause active next month.
