After a loss of possession by young centre-back Pau Cubarsi that allowed Villarreal to come close to scoring, Raphinha made his feelings clear.
As he tracked back into the box to defend a corner, he shouted, “You don’t always have to play pretty,” he told the youngster.
Within the squad, it is noted that Raphinha acts as an extension of Flick on the pitch, demanding focus and sacrifice when the situation requires it, always with the collective good in mind.
