chelsea fc

Chelsea are hoping to beat competition from a number of clubs across Europe and the Premier League to sign Greek teenager Konstantinos Karetsas.

The 18-year old is a versatile attacking player, comfortable either in the number ten role or out wide.

Born in Belgium, but to Greek parents, he has opted to play his international football with Greece, and he has already earned nine senior caps with them.

He currently plays for Belgian club Genk, and has been a first-team regular for the past 18 months, but it is anticipated he will move on in 2026, as he looks to evolve to the next stage of his development.

With Everton, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and PSG all circling he does not lack for potential suitors.

But Chelsea are hoping that their reputation for identifying and nurturing young talent will the scales in their favour when he decides on his next club.
