According to a recent report by the Athletic, West Ham are looking to sign Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen in January, as they need more attacking help, especially in the number nine position. However, Chelsea also need a striker, so they could sign the Wolves star instead to boost their options.
It’s been a tough year for Strand Larsen and Wolves, but last year, he really showed his Premier League pedigree, as he scored 14 goals in 35 league games last year for the Midlands-based side.
The Norway international generated interest from Newcastle in the summer, as they saw a £55m bid rejected for Strand Larsen, as Wolves viewed him as a key player. However, now that Wolves look destined for relegation, they could be more willing to cash in on the 25-year-old, and he could be the perfect addition for Chelsea in January.
The Blues don’t have a reliable number nine, and Strand Larsen is exactly that. He could compliment Joao Pedro brilliantly, as they are very different strikers, and he would also hopefully be a more reliable option than the “frustrating” Liam Delap.
