A man is in hospital after he was stabbed in the arm in Liverpool, leading to a police hunt for his attacker.
The man in his 50s was stabbed by another man on Breck Road in Anfield at about 23:00 GMT on Monday, Merseyside Police said.
Police said an investigation to find his attacker was ongoing and urged anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident to contact them.
The incident led to the closure of Breck Road overnight.
The man is said to be in a stable condition.
Det Insp Mike Fletcher said: "We are in the early stages of the investigation to establish the circumstances of what has taken place.
"I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of Breck Road last night and had saw what happened or has any information to come forward and speak to us.
"I also urge people in the area to check your CCTV and dashcam to see if it has captured any footage, no matter how small, as any information may help with the investigation."
