Real Madrid striker Endrick (19) has joined Lyon on loan for the remainder of the Ligue 1 campaign, Les Gones have announced. On Monday, Lyon reached an agreement with the La Liga giants over the loan for the 19-year-old Brazil international. Endrick was craving for some regular playing time to increase his chances of making Carlo Ancelotti’s World Cup squad with Brazil.
Endrick will wear the No. 9 jersey with Lyon. Paulo Fonseca’s side was in dire need of a centre-forward after parting ways with Alexandre Lacazette and Georges Mikautadze in the summer. Lyon only signed Martin Satriano on loan from Lens.
Lyon have confirmed they would pay a maximum of €1m to Real Madrid as a loan fee for Endrick. The Brazilian will link up with Paulo Fonseca’s squad on December 29.
