Chelsea have entered the race to sign Antoine Semenyo, with Bournemouth coach Andoni Iraola admitting the forward’s future is ‘out of his control’.
Chelsea join race to sign Antoine Semenyo
If Liverpool decide they want Semenyo in January, they will face competition from the league’s best.
Man City and Man United are both already known to be interested, while Chelsea are now the latest club to have thrown their hat in the ring.
Several outlets, including the Guardian, report that the Londoners have ‘enquired’ about Bournemouth attacker.

The 25-year-old has a £65 million release clause that would allow him to leave in January, and manager Andoni Iraola admitted “there are things happening out of our control” but he ‘hopes they can keep him’.
Slot was also asked about Semenyo on Tuesday, but the Dutchman was evasive, instead saying that his “first and only thoughts are on the upcoming two games.”

Slot has been reluctant to start fringe players in league matches since arriving at Liverpool, but he may now be faced with no alternative, writes Joanna Durkan:
“Slot has his favourites, that is no secret, and it is exemplified in the data, with 12 players already having played in excess of 1,000 minutes, and three of those have exceeded 2,000.
“The remaining 10 senior regulars have been used more sparingly, due to Slot’s selection or, in other cases, injury, which has not escaped attention considering Liverpool’s fluctuating form.”

The Kop has undergone a change in the last couple of weeks, with its exterior now fitted with billboards sharing the work done by the LFC Foundation.
Last season alone, they in some way supported over 145,000 people with 58 percent of those benefitting from the foundation living in the top 20 percent of the country’s most deprived wards.
We went along to one of the foundations’ creative works programmes to speak to CEO Matt Parish.
