After signing a loan deal with Aston Villa, there are speculations of Harvey Elliott returning back to Liverpool. The English player who plays attacking midfield or right wing went to Aston Villa on a season-long loan deal. The club signed him with the intention of buying him later in the future. But it seems that things are not going well for the player.
🔴 Forget the Buy-Back Clause, It’s Time to Move Harvey On
Plenty are saying this morning that #LFC should only sell #HarveyElliott if they include a buy-back clause. That feels more romantic than realistic.
They managed it with #Quansah, but that made sense. Homegrown… pic.twitter.com/lBbWUvQW2T

Harvey Elliott’s potential return to the Reds.
Harvey Elliott, the English player who currently plays for Aston Villa, has made only five appearances this season. The player’s performance has dipped through the season. He has been in bad form on the pitch since the last match. This also means his potential return back to Liverpool. It seems the player was unable to make an impact on the club, or we could say that he was unable to prove his value to the club.
Unai Emery, Aston Villa’s boss, also commented on the player, saying, “He is on loan here, but he is definitely not adding to us with a permanent contract. We are speaking with him and about his situation. Hopefully, we can get the best for him and the best for us**.**” He also said that “He is not here with us,” referring to his very few appearances this season.
The coach further added, “Hopefully we can get a solution for him to try to play consistently, to continue in his career with us or not. I respect him as a player and as a person.” The manager confirmed to us that the chances of Harvey Elliott joining the club are very unlikely. This may result in Elliott coming back to the Reds.
Caoimhin Kelleher on Mo Salah: “He was really bad for my confidence! He was unbelievable. His finishing is different. It’s the timing of when to shoot and how to place it. He doesn’t care how it goes in. He’s incredible and such a humble guy and the hardest-working. 🔴 pic.twitter.com/vVMCDmDCgD

Kostas Tsimikas might face the same as Harvey Elliott.
There are rumors that Kostas Tsimikas is also going to face the same problem as Harvey Elliott. Kostas Tsimikas, the Greek left-back, currently plays for the club AS Roma. He was signed on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool. The player went to Roma to help them develop their left flank. The 29-year-old defender was unable to impress the manager, as he barely had any impact in his games this season. The player has made three appearances in the starting XI with the club since August.
Mario Corsi said, “Tsimikas will leave; I’m sure.” I’ve heard this: there are players who can’t handle Gasperini’s training.” In my opinion, he’s not a dud; the workouts are just too exhausting for him”.
There are also speculations that Roma might terminate their deal with Tsimikas in January to make space in the squad.
Samuel Bannister also spoke on this, saying, “The Greek hasn’t done loads wrong at Roma but hasn’t been very consistent and has had a couple of lapses in concentration.” He also says, “Tsimikas started well enough at Roma with an assist on his first start but hasn’t really been trusted by Gasperini.”
What’s Liverpool’s part in all this?
It is pretty clear that the Villa’s coach has no interest in signing Elliott. The same goes for Tsimikas in Roma. To sign Elliott permanently, Villa will need to pay £35 million, and Elliott will have to complete his ten appearances with the club.
Hutchingson, the ex-Liverpool star, said, “If you’re Liverpool, you’re probably best off bringing him back and keeping him in the squad.” He believes that Harvey Elliott should head back to the Reds, as he has very few options left for him. As we all know that FIFA regulations are that a player can only represent two clubs at max in a campaign, this clearly suggests that Villa and Liverpool are the only options left for the player.
