3 Players Arsenal Could Loan Out In January–And Predicting Where They’ll Go

Arsenal could look to loan out a few of their current squad members in the January transfer window.

The Gunners go into January not expecting it to be a particularly busy month, as Mikel Arteta is very happy with his current squad. In the summer transfer window, Arsenal were able to add names such as Martin Zubimendi, Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze.

However, seeing as Arsenal have such a deep squad now, there could be several squad members who aren’t happy with the amount of minutes they are getting from Arteta this season. So, Arsenal could loan them out in January.

Here is a list of three Gunners who could leave on loan in the January window, and where we predict them to go…

1. Myles Lewis-Skelly – Chelsea

In somewhat of a shocking move, Myles Lewis-Skelly really hasn’t had the minutes this season, despite his incredible performances for Arsenal in his breakout year last season.

Reports have suggested that Chelsea could sign the youngster, as he needs more minutes in order to get into Thomas Tuchel’s England World Cup squad; As things stand, he will probably miss out…

2. Gabriel Jesus – West Ham

Reports have been linking Jesus with a move away ever since the summer when Arsenal signed Viktor Gyokeres.

Jesus has only just returned from his long-term ACL injury, but has been reinstated into the Gunners’ first team squad. However, his minutes likely won’t be much with Kai Havertz returning from his knee injury in the next month or so.

West Ham are in desperate need of a striker, and so could decide to make a move to sign the Brazilian striker in January.

3. Ethan Nwaneri – Crystal Palace

Much like Lewis-Skelly, Ethan Nwaneri’s minutes have reduced this season, despite the fact that he was so impressive last year.

Nwaneri is a very capable Premier League attacker, as he has shown, and the 18-year-old could look for a loan move to gain more experience. Crystal Palace never replaced Eze in the summer, so could consider a move for the Arsenal youngster.
