Chelsea wanted to do business with Barcelona in the last transfer window but were unable to.
Fermin Lopez was a key target for Chelsea, but the attacking midfielder ended up staying at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Instead, the Blues went on to sign Facundo Buonanotte, who has not made much of an impact since arriving from Brighton & Hove Albion.

While Chelsea and Barcelona did not do any business with each other in the summer, there could be a transaction between the two clubs in January.

Axel Disasi wants to join Barcelona
According to Sport, Axel Disasi has been offered to Barcelona, and it looks like a move to the Catalan side is something that would interest the defender.
Sport’s report claims that AC Milan are keen on Disasi but that he is “determined” to wait and see if Barcelona come in for him.
Disasi has trained with the Chelsea first team this season, but Enzo Maresca has not handed him any minutes.
That is unlikely to change, as Chelsea currently have a wealth of centre-back options. The jury is still out on several of them, though.
Is there a way back for Axel Disasi at Chelsea?
Or do the Blues just need to cut their losses? 👀

If Hansi Flick is not keen on Disasi, there could be other options for the 27-year-old.

Axel Disasi’s other options
Earlier this month, it was reported that West Ham United are interested in signing Disasi.
The Frenchman was also linked with a move to the Hammers in the summer, so the London Stadium really could be a potential destination for him.
As well as West Ham, Borussia Dortmund are also thought to be keen on Disasi. They recently signed Aaron Anselmino from Chelsea on loan, and the Argentine is doing well there.
Whether it is Dortmund, West Ham or Barcelona, Disasi has to join another club in the new year. The France international is a good defender who is just wasting away in west London.
A transfer could keep his World Cup dream alive, though at this stage, it would be a surprise if he went to the tournament next summer.
