The struggling Clippers could be in play in acquiring Wizards veteran guard C.J. McCollum.
The Los Angeles Clippers couldn't be more desperate to keep their season alive.
Currently having one of the NBA's worst records at 7-21, LA is poised to make moves in order to commence an immediate push atop the standings.
Apparently, ClutchPoints insider Brett Siegel mentioned C.J. McCollum as a potential trade target for the Clips, as the Washington Wizards star continues to generate chatter across league circles about his market availability and value.
“Some around the league tend to believe McCollum is obtainable for two or three second-round picks, and with him being on an expiring contract, he would make sense for the Clippers, a team looking to make a last-ditch effort to contend this year,” he wrote.
Acquired by the Wizards last offseason, McCollum is tallying 18.8 points, 3.5 assists and 3.3 boards per game in Washington.
He basically holds an expiring contract worth over $30 million, which truly makes him a name to watch heading to the February trade deadline.
