Real Madrid’s focus on youth recruitment continues to deliver decisive moves, and a fresh report from Mundo Deportivo has now revealed another strategic signing at Valdebebas.
According to the Spanish outlet, Los Blancos have secured the signature of highly rated 19-year-old attacking midfielder Manex Rezola, beating stiff competition from across Spain to land one of the most closely followed young players.
Before this move, Rezola had been playing for UD Logrones in the Segunda Division RFEF, where he had begun to build a strong reputation despite his young age.
Over recent months, his performances attracted serious attention, prompting a long and drawn-out negotiation process.
The report explains that after weighing his options carefully, the youngster ultimately chose Real Madrid as the next step in his career.
Real Madrid beat severe competition
In one of the key revelations of the report, it is stated that Real Madrid managed to outmanoeuvre no fewer than 15 La Liga clubs in the race to sign Rezola.
The decision was finalised after Rezola signed his contract at Valdebebas, committing his future to the club for the next five years.

It is said that Rezola will initially be assigned to Real Madrid C, with Real Madrid agreeing to pay a fee of €150,000 to Logrones.
The signing also brings to an end what the report describes as one of the most persistent sagas in recent Spanish youth football.
Despite featuring in just 15 first-team matches for Logrones this season, Rezola’s impact was clear.
He managed to score two goals, performances that did not go unnoticed within elite scouting circles.
Among those impressed was Alvaro Arbeloa, whose close involvement with Madrid’s youth structure has been key in identifying profiles that fit the club’s long-term vision.
Interestingly, Rezola’s move does not involve an immediate step up in division. Real Madrid C also compete in the Segunda RFEF, albeit in a different group.
