3 Players Chelsea Could Send Out On Loan In January…And Predicting Where They’ll Go

Several Chelsea players could leave on a loan move in the January transfer window, as they aren’t getting the game time they would like in a crowded Stamford Bridge dressing room.

The Blues are fully embroiled in a fight for a Champions League place, and also success in the cups, as they are already into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, and going well in Europe. Manager Enzo Maresca will be delighted with how his side has performed so far this season, but he will want to add more reinforcements in January.

Chelsea will likely look to sign a centre-back to help add some quality and experience at the back, and also potentially a striker due to Liam Delap’s recent injury record.

But, to do so, the Blues may need to see a few names leave the club, and three standout names could move away on a loan deal.

1. Tyrique George – Fulham

George hasn’t got the game time that he would have wanted this season, despite the fact that he has performed well every time he has been given a chance.

Fulham were linked to signing him in the summer, and it has now been said that Crystal Palace could also make a move for the talented 19-year-old.

According to Caught Offside, George is looking to leave in January to get more minutes, and the interest in the winger is rising.

2. Romeo Lavia – Man United

Lavia has struggled to make the impact he would have wanted at Chelsea. Recent reports suggest that due to his poor form, and injury struggles, the Blues are considering moving on from the Belgian international.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester United, who are looking to strengthen in their midfield, specifically in the defensive midfield role.

Lavia has made just 30 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea since he joined in the summer of 2023, that is simply not good enough.

3. Raheem Sterling – Leeds United

Raheem Sterling‘s journey at Chelsea has become a real struggle. He is no longer in Enzo Maresca’s plans at Stamford Bridge, and hasn’t played a game since May 2024.

He spent last season on loan at Arsenal, where he failed to make much of an impact, and so the £400,000 per week winger is now looking for his next move.

According to GiveMeSport, Leeds United are interested in signing him, as they want some vital Premier League experience to help them avoid the drop this season.
