The Atlanta Hawks have explored a potential trade for Anthony Davis, but are unlikely to give up significant assets, with only marginal moves expected if they part ways with Kristaps Porzingis.
The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly among the Eastern Conference teams considering a pursuit of Anthony Davis before the February 5 trade deadline.

While the Hawks have explored a potential path to acquiring the Dallas Mavericks star big man, there has been no movement on this front, according to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.
Trading Kristaps Porzingis—given his ongoing health concerns—and finding another frontcourt option to pair with Onyeka Okongwu is certainly on the table for Atlanta.
However, Siegel notes that rival teams across the NBA don't believe the Hawks would give up significant assets or Porzingis' expiring deal for Davis.
Instead, most expect Atlanta to make only a marginal move if they part ways with Porzingis, which has led to speculation about a possible trade with the Chicago Bulls.
The Detroit Pistons also have not held any discussions with the Mavs regarding Davis. Back on December 9, ESPN reported that the Pistons, along with the Toronto Raptors and Hawks, were considered potential suitors for the 10-time All-Star.
AD is currently earning $54.1 million this season, $58.5 million next season, and holds a player option for $62.8 million in 2027–28, when he will be 35.
